Please read the following FAQ:
- No Reply? Check your JUNK MAIL folder when corresponding with me. I reply to ALL emails within 24 hours and usually within several hours. If you have not received a response from me after one day, I have either been hit by a truck or my reply to you is somewhere on your computer filed away in the junk or trash folder. If necessary, please send me an email with your telephone number asking me to call you because you have not received a reply. I work VERY hard to ensure I reply to ALL emails in a timely manner. Providing excellent customer service is most important to me!
- How much are they?
Snowcasso™ $200 each
Grade A Picasso $100 (and up) each
Grade B Picasso $50 (and up) each
Grade C (normal striped/misbar) $15 each
- When will you add more Picassos? I add new fish for sale every Saturday. On occasion, I will add them during the week also.
If you want to receive emails each time new Picassos are added to the store, create an account and select "newsletter" at
Doni's Reef
NOTE: Several hours PRIOR to adding Picassos to the store, I will post on Reef Sanctuary in my selling thread:
Picasso/Snowcasso clownfish for sale
- How do I know what my fish will look like? I sell using the WYSIWYG method (what you see is what you get) - the videos are of the exact fish you will receive. NOTE: the advertisement/video will disappear when sold. Only available fish will be displayed .
- How large are they? I offer them for sale once they are 4-6 months old and have grown to 1 - 1.5" long (including the tail). Their small size demands a few requirements of your system. Because they can slip through openings larger fish cannot and get blown around by strong powerheads/pumps found in many reef tanks, it is important to cover overflows with appropriate screening and reduce water turbulance. If you are unable to make these changes, please refrain from buying them.
For comparison purposes, I keep them in 40 gallon breeder tanks with Korallia #2 powerheads. They negotiate this water flow with ease and have no problem feeding.
- How much is shipping? - Shipping cost is a flat rate of $50 (1-10 fish) within US & Hawaii. Flat rates Include UPS Next Day Air (by 10:30am to most locations), insulated styrofoam box, and heat or cold packs as needed.
NOTE: I prefer to ship via UPS for all of my shipping needs. However, FedExpress may be requested ONLY for business addresses and HOLD AT LOCATION shipments. This is due to the FedExpress contract guidelines that prohibit shipping live fish to residential addresses. I know many businesses break this rule but I choose not too.
Shipping & Acclimation
- Why are the shipping bags so small? - I ship them using special breathing bags which require little water and no air. To work properly, these bags must be surrounded by air. Do NOT acclimate them in these bags - remove first to another container or bag. See this page for more acclimation info: Shipping & Acclimation
- How can I pay? - I accept PayPal, cash, check (7 day hold), money order, or most major credit cards. You may call me to pay via credit card if you prefer instead of the online method.
- My fish are fighting! What do I do? It is normal for two young clowns to quarrel. It is fine if they are pushing each other around and one may even bully the other. This is a necessary process that will determine which will become the dominant clown (female). However, you must ensure that the weaker fish can escape the harrassment and is eating well. You must be prepared to seperate the two (put the bully in a breeder net) if either one is getting injured or is not able to eat. Putting the bully in timeout using a breeder net for a several days works to ease the fighting but know that the quarrelling may last a few days to a few months; so be patient.
- Anyone purchasing from outside of the USA must meet the following:
1) Must be a retail fish business with a web site and/or store.
2) Minimum orders of one BOX (TEN Picassos).
3) Must have a Paypal account or major credit card.
If you still have questions or concerns, please email me at store@donisreef.com Thank you for your interest in my clownfish!! Happy reefing~ Doni Marie
